Never Shall I Sleep

Don’t bow over my grave and eternally weep,
I was never there,I’m not asleep.
I’m the water’s diamond glints that glow,
The icy facets of the snow.
I’m the wings of the bird that sweep,
The stinging cold of the sleet.
I’m the fresh new leaves of spring,
I’m the dew that to leaves cling.
So don’t bow over my coffin and forever weep,
For never will I sleep.
